Wagner, an incoming freshman, suffered a season-ending leg injury during summer workouts.  Barnes said in a radio interview that she would have started.  A probable starting lineup would have been Dunn and Chikwe at forwards, Olson, Peters, and Wagner at guards, with VanZanten the first big off the bench and Petit the first guard.  That seven person rotation is now in shatters, as only Olson and Peters remain as of last night.

The game at Wright State was really bad.  Loosing by 50!  Watched the first half and switched to the men's game so not sure if Wright State kept the starters in all game and tried to run up the score or what.  One issue for me is just how many players we loose each year to injuries. Fortunately last year we kept our 7 or 8 healthy, but many years we loose more that just 1 or 2 players. What about the other women's teams in the league; how many do they loose?  Is our practice and preseason prep up to standard and or too difficult for women players?  We are in trouble now with yet another starter, Makenah, down for a while.

Womens injuries are common but the AD should be asking himself if the department has the staff in place. AKA the strength and conditioning staff.  These injuries have to impact $$$ the department.

I have never seen anything like this.  Nearly half the team now incapacitated with injuries (6 out of 14.)  All six either starters or members of a projected pre-season rotation.  You guys are right.  The staff and the training techniques must be evaluated.  Yes, female athletes are more susceptible to injuries than their male counterparts, but this is ridiculous.
