YSU vs Louisiana
« on: November 15, 2019, 08:54:32 PM »
Up 29-26 at half and shot the ball horrendously 4 of 17 from three and 10 of 34 overall , Thankfully we created turnovers from the press and rebounded well.

Hate to say it.... Can't shoot FT, can't shoot 3's, can't win game.

23 of 67.  Couldn't shoot either.  Not going to beat a team that hits 28 of 32 foul shots.  Credit to them on making their free throws.

We have to be one of the worst shooting teams statistically after three games in Div. 1.    Crazy.

That was a frustrating game to watch. Looked like YSU just wasn't into the game, content on jacking up 3's and not running the offense along with too many missed bunnies. The shooting % is really disappointing. I love how Naz plays but it's frustrating to see him miss so many close range shots & just can't shoot FT. Simmons continues to struggle. He's scored only 11 points in 3 games.

This game felt like a game from 2 years ago or early last year. This is a game we should be win.

That was a game you have to win. Never seen a team miss so many shots around the rim like they did last night. FT shooting has yet to improve either.

After 3 games we're shooting 23% from 3 & just 55% FT.

they probably should work on shooting in practice.   individually players should have worked on that in the off season

It's tough early in the season on the road.  The shots will start dropping as the season goes along.  Villanova could't throw it in the ocean the other night at OSU.  It does seem that some guys are taking shots because they are open and they're hoping it goes in while a confident shooter feels it and knows it's going in.
Not sure our shooters are in that confident shooting zone yet.

We cannot take NC Central lightly. They gave Akron a game at Akron. I believe this is kind of a must-win for us. Hopefully we have been working on shooting and free throws.
