Ladies::
The Youngstown State women's tennis team will send five players to the ITA Midwest Regionals which start on Thursday in East Lansing, Mich., and are hosted by Michigan State.
The Penguins set to compete in the event are Tamara Teufl, Cassandra Moraleja, Lucia Zagar, Imaan Hassim and Elvira Esteo. The first round of singles is set to get underway on Thursday at 9 a.m. at MSU's Indoor Tennis Facility. Doubles play starts on Friday afternoon at two o'clock.
The winners of each main draw (singles and doubles) will receive automatic berths to the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
Below is a list of YSU's first round matches. The winner of each first round match will play later in the day on Thursday at approximately 12:30 p.m.
First Round Matchups
Zagar vs. Laura Morera (Toledo) - 9 a.m.
Teufl vs. Cecilia Rosas (Akron) - 9 a.m.
Esteo vs. Christy Robinson (DePaul) - Approximately 10:15 a.m.
Moraleja vs. Emily Casati (Illinois) - 11:30 a.m.

Mens:

Joao Garretto, Laurentiu Mandocescu, Will Everett and Erik Gran will compete in the qualifying round starting on Thursday. Vasilis Vardakis will be part of the main draw for singles.
Round one of qualifying is set to begin on Thursday at 8 a.m. at the OSU Varsity Tennis Center. Round one of singles in the main draw is set to start on Friday at 12:15 p.m.
In doubles, Garretto and Mandocescu will compete for the Penguins. Doubles competition gets underway on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
YSU's doubles pairings are Mandocescu and Garretto as well as Everett and Pol Virgili Blanco.
The winners of each main draw (singles and doubles) will receive automatic berths to the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. The tournament is set to conclude on Monday.
