Softball Adds Seven During Early Signing Period

The Youngstown State softball team has signed seven recruits to National Letters of Inent to continue their academic and athletic careers during the 2019-2020 school year, Head Coach Brian Campbell announced.

The Penguins added Taylor Boeckmann (Sabina, Ohio), Zoey Dunlap (Hurricane, W.Va.), Kasey McGraw (Amherst, Ohio), Concetta Rinaldi (Youngstown, Ohio), Hailey Roach (Elburn, Ill.), Avrey Schumacher (Westerville, Ohio), and Kenedy Vrable (Lisbon, Ohio).

"We are really excited to add these seven highly-talented players and extraordiary young women to our program," Campbell said. "They all bring a strong competitive background and want to lead our program to more success."

Taylor Boeckmann - Outfielder (Sabina, Ohio/East Clinton Local HS)

    Three-time all-conferenece first-team selection.
    2018 second-team all-district and honorable mention all-state pick.

Zoey Dunlap - Outfielder (Hurricane, W.Va./Hurricane HS)

    Second-team all-conference selection
    Three-time honorable mention all-state choice.
    Batted .400 with 10 RBIs in 2018 state tournament.

Kasey McGraw - Infielder (Amherst, Ohio/Amherst Steele HS)

    Owns a career batting average of .469 with 47 doubles and 95 RBIs.
    Two-time first-team all-conference selection.
    Named Honorable Mention All-Ohio and conference player of the year in 2018
    Batted .517 with 10 doubles and 44 RBIs in 2018.

Conchetta Rinaldi - Catcher (Youngstown, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney HS)

    Batted .517 with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs in 2018.
    Holds the school single-season (12) and career home run records with 12 and 26, respectively.
    Posted 102 career runs batted, which is the school's career record.

Hailey Roach - Utility (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland HS)

    Named second-team all-conference in 2017 and 2018.

Avrey Schumacher - Outfielder (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central HS)

    Owns a career batting average of .433 with 15 home runs and 91 runs batted in.
    Three-time first-team all-conference and second-team all-district selection.
    Named conference player of the year in 2018.

Kenedy Vrable - Utility (Lisbon, Ohio/Lisbon HS)

    Three-time first-team all-conference selection and two-time first-team all-district choice.
    Batted .500 with six doubles, eight triples and 27 runs batted in as a junior.
    Owns the school's single-season runs and triples records.
