YSUFANSINCE1990:
Bo Pelini next coach at Bowling Green?   What has he done here to earn that job.  By the end of the year he will be under .500 in conference play, lost to Butler, our recruiting is a disaster, and the future of the YSU program is not good.  What young talent do we have?

If BG hires Bo, they will get what they deserve.

BG could care less what Bo has done or hasn't done at YSU. His number of years in coaching, success at Nebraska and the ability to recruit the Midwest would all be in his favor. The only reason Bo stayed this year was because the money was still flowing in from Nebraska. He will not sit around in the offseason coming off a record of 3 and 8 only to bring in a cool $250,000 next year Take the pay increase at the FBS level and earn the respectability again so you can someday coach at the P5 level

YSUFANSINCE1990:
Football Fever, what did Pelini do at Nebraska?  No Big 10 titles, No Big 12 titles, no BCS bowl appearances.  Against the elite of the conference he not only lost, he got blown out.  He beat the bad teams.  He is also a pain the you know where for and AD and President to deal with.  He is a D coordinator, not a head coach.

He lost to Butler.  In year 4 of a program, he should have YSU rolling, instead the program is a mess.  He is setting us back for years.  He has no chance to ever coach at a Power 5.   He will also not win at a place like BG, have you seen their scores this year?  Your comment about recruiting the midwest, is hilarious.  How did that work out for him at YSU?   Pelini also has publicly said he hates recruiting.

From Nebraska to YSU to BG, wow.   YSU is a better program and a better place that BG.

Regardless of how it happened or where the program is now, he did take YSU to our first playoff appearance in a decade and first championship appearance since 1999. It’s still a pretty good resume line item. That will be in the first few lines of the press release after BGSU hires him

However, Strollo will not fire Bo, even if we go don't win another game the rest of the season.  It is comical that anyone thinks YSU would hire Carl Pelini as head coach, after firing his brother.   Carl will not be the next head coach at Bowling Green.  They will do a search and clean house.   Carl could survive as D coordinator if new coach wants him.

Our next coach should be younger, come from a successful program, either as a head coach at D-2, or D-3, or a coordinator at D-1.  If he is successful, he will be gone in five years to a bigger program.  We should be a stepping up for a younger coach.  Tressel was exception, staying 15 years.

It was funny listening on the radio on Saturday, Strollo interviewed at halftime, talking about volleyball, track, on and on.   No one cares.  At this level you need to win in either football or basketball.

I like the “young/ hungry” type, my vote is Vince Kehres from Mount Union, who took over the program a few Years back, Sure he took over an already winning program but I think Mount Union’s coaching tree speaks for itself in terms of putting out quality d1 coaches. Matt Campbell at Iowa state, Jason candle at Toledo, Alex grinch at Ohio State. All from Mount Union.
