HappyPenguin:
6 (injuries)
No
YES

Wick250:
7 wins, maybe 8.

Although still the best FCS conference by a wide margin, the MVFC might not be quite as dominant this year.  9 out of the 10 teams have at least some issues:

Missouri State and Indiana State stink.
Southern Illinois plays little defense.
Western Illinois has a dangerous offense but is not particularly strong on defense.
South Dakota will return to the second division unless they have found a clone for their departed qb.
South Dakota State lost their pro caliber TE and WR that carried them for four seasons.
UNI is no longer a national power, except one day every two years when they play us inside their gym.
Illinois State massacred us last year but were mediocre overall.

As far as Pelini, he rebuilt our nonexistent defense and took us to the title game.  The team GPA is the highest in program history.  He stays as long as he wants.

Double ET:
7 wins, yes, yes (if Pelini could not coach us back into a playoff team each year, no other coach in the $300k salary range would).
If he could get 7 win and a deep run in the playoff, he wiould go else where as a head coach. If he could not make a deep run in the playoff, he would go else as DC. Either way, I think he will be gone next year.
Who knows, Tressel might talk him into staying.

YSUFANSINCE1990:
6-5, no playoffs.  Way to much expected from a QB who sat for four years.   VanGorder was not an FBS recruit, went to ND with father who was defensive coordinator.  He wanted to be part of the experience.

Inexperience at wide receiver, and other than Bryce Gibson, three question marks in the secondary.  Pelini a great defensive coordinator, one of the best.  But overrated as a head coach.
