The fifth-ranked Youngstown State football team plays host to Central Connecticut State at Stambaugh Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff for the contest is set for 2 p.m. A full morning and early afternoon of actitives, including the YSU Hall of Fame ceremony, State Farm Kids Day and the first tailgate band of the fall are planned for the game.
Tailgating festivities are set to begin at 8 a.m. in the M-63 and M-70 Lots. Beer will be on sale in both lots beginning at 8 o'clock. Parking in the premium M-71 and M-72 lots is available at that time for $20. Parking in the M-62 Surface Lot (Lincoln Avenue), M-66 Lot and either deck (M-30 and M-60) is just $5.
At 10 a.m., the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place in the Kilcawley Center. Former Penguins Brandon Caipen, Jay Payne, Tom Zetts, Jessica Fraley and Quin Humphrey will be honored as well as contributors Drs. Michael and Dianne Miladore.
In the M-63 Tailgate Lot, the State Farm Kids Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also the group Second Avenue Project will be in concert as well beginning at 11 a.m. in the M-63 Lot.
At 12:45 p.m., the YSU Marching Pride, which will be joined by the New Castle (Pa.) Marching Band, will hold their Icebreaker just North of the Andrews Recreation and Wellness Center.
Members of the YSU baseball program will be selling merchandise near the M-63 Lot and then at the game on the West Stands Concourse. The program will be accepting credit cards for purchases. The women's golf team will be selling YSU merchandise as well.
All fans attending the game will receive a Water Bottle courtesy of State Farm, MercyHealth and 21 WFMJ. YSU students will get free shirts which can be picked up on the East Side stands in sections 15, 16 and 17.
During the game members of the softball team will be selling 50/50 Raffle Tickets.
As always, YSU students are admitted free with a valid student ID with seating on the East Side stands. Tickets on gameday are $20 for reserved seats. The YSU Athletic Ticket Office is open until 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday prior to the contest.

During the game, the 2017 Athletics Hall of Fame class and the recipients of the PNC Acheivement Award will be announced. The New Castle (Pa.) Marching Band will perform at halftime along with the YSU Marching Pride.
