The Youngstown State football team starts the 2016 campaign on Thursday night against Duquesne. Kickoff at Stambaugh Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.
Fans are reminded that classes are in session on Thursday at YSU and tailgate lots will not open until 4 p.m. Also, the tailgate lots have a new number designation. The upper, M-70 Lot, was formerly the M-24 Lot while the lower Rulli Bros Tailgate lot, M-63, was formerly the M-7.
Beer will be on sale in both lots at that time and fans will be allowed in to start their tailgating festivities. Parking in the M-71, M-72 and decks (M-30 and M-60) will be available at that time for $5.
The YSU Student Fan Club the "Penguin Pack" will be hosting a party for YSU Students in the M-63 Lot as well starting at 4 p.m. National recording artist, Jerreau, will hold a special concert at 5:30 p.m. for the students.
All fans attending the game will receive a YSU Schedule Magnet courtesy of State Farm, Talmer Bank and WFMJ TV-21.
Members of the YSU baseball program will be selling merchandise near the M-63 Lot and then at the game on the West Stands Concourse. The program will be accepting credit cards for purchases. The women's golf team will be selling YSU "Y" Powerband wristbands and magnets.
During the game members of the softball team will be selling 50/50 Raffle Tickets.
As always, YSU students are admitted free with a valid student ID with seating on the East Side stands. Tickets on game-day are $20 for reserved seats. The YSU Athletic Ticket Office is open until 6 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the contest.

6:30 p.m. - Mosure Hall of Gridiron Glory Opens on Concourse Level
7:10 p.m. - YSU Marching Pride Pregame Show
7:30 p.m. - Tailgate Lot Closes
7:34 p.m. - YSU vs. Duquesne
Halftime: YSU Marching Pride, Boardman High School Marching Band
Postgame: Fifth-Quarter Call-in Radio Show on 570 WKBN
