Indianapolis, Ind. -- Youngstown State sophomore Kyler Lum was named to the Horizon League's women's soccer All-League Second-Team and Madison Hughes was named to the All-Freshman Team, the league announced on Monday (Nov. 2).
Lum, a native of Pulaski, Pa., led the Penguins with four, 10 total points and 37 shots. Three of her four goals were scored in Horizon League play.
She scored goals against Northern Kentucky (9/18), St. Bonaventure (9/20), Cleveland State (9/30) and Detroit (10/21). She also recorded assists against IPFW (9/11) and Detroit.
Lum also ranked ninth in the Horizon League in shots and ninth with 2.06 shots per match.
She is the eighth different Youngstown State player since 2009 to earn All-Horizon League honors and it marks the fifth straight season a YSU player has been named to the all-team team.
Hughes, who started all 18 matches, scored one goal - the-game-winner - against Longwood (8/23) and totaled eight shots.
She is the sixth player since 2010 to be named to the Horizon League All-Freshman or All-Newcomer Team.
