If my stats are correct we stopped them only3 times on 3rd down out of 14 tries

WIU: 3/16 on third down

This win keeps post-season hopes alive...especially with Misery at home next week.  But I hope that the win doesn't make them complacent about the turnovers and penalties (we have 8 vs their 4), and the anemic offense.

I am happy the online held up, but we were so good in the first half and fell apart. Wiggins gets game ball!! Great first game. Welcome to the team.

Alexander and Wright really stand out on defense. Making plays all over the field covering up some weaknesses.

5 MVFC teams have a 4-4 record.  Meat grinder.  9 teams would make the playoffs in a fair world.

Good win on the road, but should've never been that close. How about Norvell going 9-29 ? Great job by the defense and the pressure from the outside is really unstoppable. Deeper kick-offs better punts and Kennedy remains to be clutch. Offensively we made the plays when needed. Still one to many negative running plays. But controlled the ball for over 35 minutes in this one..really helps keep the D fresh for the 4th quarter

Great point Fever. We had previously never brought in that kind of pressure from the strong side. I tell you what though, we pulled another one of those safety blitzes & we finally got there in time. Even Sammorone yelled "Oh no", but we made it!!! I don't know if I can take another one of those.

I was happy to see Ruiz hitting yesterday, it makes all the difference in the world. The WIU announcer said "I have never seen him do that before ...I did not know he had that in him". I said to the TV, "then you do not know Ruiz".

Good job by line coach Bricillo with all the patch work up front and Gavin Wiggins stepping up when needed. 46 team rushes yesterday sends a strong message to the line..and the Bulk to Ruiz(were going right behind you and giving it to our horse) love it. The point of attack is very hard to win every single play due to all the injuries. It just requires a great deal of chemistry, they are gelling to the best of their ability..Hats off to the O

Says alot that the team responded that way and got the win! Fought the whole game and its really a good statement with the way 2 of the previous 3 games went (losing at the very end) and especially with the OT loss. Hope this sets the tone for the final three games.

Was reading the WIU board, it seem that they are the team we do not play the next two years.

quinpen you are correct. We will not play WIU the next two years. That means UNI will be back on the schedule. We rarely beat UNI.
